Space Jumper Makes Record Leap

Felix Baumgartner landed gracefully on Earth this morning after making a 38.6 kilometre jump. Earlier this morning, Felix went up into space carried by a gigantic helium filled balloon and soon afterwards being filmed jumping out of his capsule and landing back safely on the Earth. Felix now holds a world record for falling faster then the speed of sound. Shortly after landing Felix lifted his arms in victory.

“When I was standing there, on top of the world, you become so humble, you don’t think about breaking records any more, you do not think about scientific data. The only thing you want is to come back alive.” Felix said after the jump.

Shadow Book Review

I have just finished reading, Shadow. I recommend this book to people who enjoy reading about war and animals. Shadow is about an Army Sniffer Dog called, Polly. Polly got lost while sniffing out a bomb for her soldiers. Polly went all the way from her base camp to a cave upon a hill where a little boy called, Aman thought she was abandoned and decided to take care of her and changed her name to, Shadow. This is a story about friendship and trust. Will Aman and his mother get to England saftely? Can they trust Shadow?

Mark Todd Olympic Equestrain Rider

Mark Todd NZ Olympic Rider

Mark Todd has been to four Olympic games. Each leaving with either one medal, or two. Mark Todd has won 2 gold medals, 1 silver and 2 bronze, this year the “NZ Equestrian team” won bronze.
Mark, probably didn’t feel so nervous before hand considering he has been to four Olympics, you’d get used to the crowd cheering at you, especially if you Mark Todd! I loved watching him on TV this year, he was going superfast on the Cross Country course and went clear, the Cross Country is fun to watch, but it is dangerous too, I’d much rather do Showjumping. In the Show jumping Mark didn’t go clear, instead he hit one rail, which unfortunately, it fell down. All the jumps were HUGE, there was tricky turns and obstacles in the Cross Country, but in the Showjumping there were big, high, wide jumps, 1.60m!
